Dear Gillette,
Some months ago, I returned to the US from a three-month trip to Asia- mostly spent in Hong Kong. While my initial intent was to grow a beard while there, my girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend now) who is in the I-Banking industry and hangs out with a lot of clean-shaven presentable-looking people over there, would not hear of it. Within a week of my arrival she had purchased me a razor and shave cream and my face and neck and chest (her idea, not mine) were as smooth and hairless as the day I was born.
Well, once I started shaving, I couldn’t get enough of it, and I credit the shave cream. It was like nothing I’ve used before! Well, it was a Gillette product and it was of a Menthol and Lime Essence. My skin felt intoxicated (in a good way), rejuvenated, and refreshed after every shave.
Since I was traveling a lot over there, I could only get the tiny travel size, due to heightened travel-security precautions in airports (can’t have people shaving on planes!). Well, it didn’t take long for me to run out of those little guys after I got back here. Now, I cannot find it anywhere!!
I live in New York City and have spent entire days scouring Chinatown, Koreatown, and that tiny neighborhood in Chinatown that is slightly more Vietnamese than Chinese, but have been completely unsuccessful in my search.
I have tried several of your other similar products and even tried adding limejuice and menthol to them, but it is not the same.
Please tell me, is this product available in the United States or will I need to get in touch with (ugh) my ex-girlfriend to have a satisfying shave again? How can I get my hands on this here? Any information (or menthol lime shave cream!) you can provide me with would be very much appreciated.
